🛑 ZERO-TOLERANCE MANDATE: CHILD SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND ABUSE (CSAE / CSAM)
Botel Chat is strictly 18+. We prohibit child sexual abuse, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, non-consensual sexual content, threats, scams and harassment. Violations may lead to account removal, evidence preservation and referral to appropriate authorities where required.
1. Strict 18+ Age Restriction
Botel Chat is strictly an adult community. The platform is not intended for, marketed to, or accessible by individuals under the age of 18. During onboarding:
- Users must explicitly confirm they are 18 years of age or older.
- Accounts suspected or discovered to belong to minors are permanently removed immediately upon detection.
- If you know or suspect that an account belongs to someone under 18, report it immediately via the in-app Safety menu or by contacting support.
2. Prevention and review
We use account controls, user reports, moderation review and reasonable safeguards to protect the community. We do not promise that automated systems identify every harmful item.
- Reporting: Users can report profiles and content with a category and context.
- Review: Reports may be reviewed by authorized personnel and escalated based on severity.
- Account controls: We may restrict, suspend or remove accounts that breach safety rules.
3. Mandatory Legal Reporting & Evidence Preservation
In full compliance with statutory laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, Section 67B, and international child protection directives:
- Legal escalation: Confirmed illegal content may be reported to the appropriate authority where required by law.
- Evidence handling: We may retain the minimum relevant account and report information for safety, legal or dispute purposes with restricted access.
4. User Protection: Anti-Harassment & Anti-Bullying
Beyond child protection, Botel Chat provides comprehensive safety features to protect every member of our community from harassment, blackmail, stalking, and abuse:
- Instant One-Tap Blocking: Blocking is immediate, silent, and permanent. The blocked user cannot view your profile, send messages, call, or see your activity.
- Comprehensive In-App Reporting: Every profile, direct message, and voice room includes an intuitive reporting modal with categorized flags (Harassment, Minor/Child Safety, Scams/Money Requests, Impersonation, Non-consensual Content).
- Incognito & Discovery Control: You have complete control over whether you appear in nearby user discovery, search results, or suggested feeds. You can disable incoming calls from non-contacts at any time.
- Anti-Scam Guard: Botel Chat strictly prohibits requests for money, bank transfers, gift cards, or external investment links. Scammers are permanently expelled.
5. Offline Meeting & Personal Privacy Safety Advice
When interacting with matches or new friends:
- Protect Private Information: Never share your home address, workplace, Aadhaar/PAN or national ID numbers, banking credentials, or financial details in chats or bio descriptions.
- Public Places First: If meeting someone in real life, always choose a well-lit, populated public venue. Arrange your own independent transportation.
- Inform a Trusted Friend: Share your location and return expectations with a close friend or family member before meeting anyone new.
