Botel Chat is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and trusted environment for all users.
As a communication platform, we understand that online safety is a shared responsibility between the platform, users, and the wider community.
This Safety & Child Protection Policy explains the measures, standards, and practices followed by Botel Chat to: Protect users from harmful behavior, prevent misuse of communication features, maintain age-appropriate access, respond to safety concerns, and support a responsible online environment.
This policy applies to all Botel Chat features, including: Private messaging, Groups, Stories, Voice communication, Video communication, Profile discovery, User interactions, and other social features.
User safety is one of the highest priorities at Botel Chat. We work to create an environment based on:
Botel Chat is designed for users who are: 18 years of age or older.
By creating an account, users confirm that they meet the minimum age requirement. Users must provide accurate age information during registration. Providing false age information or attempting to bypass age restrictions violates Botel Chat policies.
To help maintain age-appropriate access, Botel Chat may use safety measures including: age declaration during registration, account review based on reports, and additional verification where necessary.
If an account is suspected of violating age requirements, Botel Chat may: restrict account access, request verification information, temporarily suspend the account, or remove the account if eligibility cannot be confirmed.
Botel Chat does not knowingly allow users below the minimum required age to operate accounts. If we discover that an underage account exists, we may disable access, remove account information according to applicable policies, and take steps to prevent repeated attempts.
Users can help protect the community by reporting accounts they believe belong to underage individuals, are misrepresenting their age, or are attempting to avoid age restrictions. Reports should be submitted honestly and include relevant details whenever possible.
Botel Chat has zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation or abuse. Users must never: create, share, request, or distribute child sexual abuse material, attempt to exploit children, encourage inappropriate relationships with minors, use the platform to target children, or exchange illegal content involving minors.
Any suspected child exploitation activity may result in: immediate account restriction, content removal, preservation of relevant information where legally required, and reporting to appropriate authorities.
Even though Botel Chat is restricted to adults, we recognize the importance of preventing online risks involving young people. Users must not: encourage minors to join the platform, help minors bypass age restrictions, hide or manipulate age information, or request private information from minors.
Users are encouraged to follow safe online practices: do not share passwords, do not share sensitive personal information unnecessarily, be careful when communicating with unknown users, report suspicious behavior, and use blocking features when needed.
Users should respect privacy boundaries. Prohibited behavior includes: sharing another person's private information, posting private conversations without permission, sharing personal documents, or using information to threaten or harm someone.
Botel Chat does not tolerate harassment, bullying, intimidation, or abusive behavior. Every user has the right to communicate in an environment where they feel respected and safe.
Users must not:
Harassment can occur through: Private chats, Group conversations, Stories, Voice communication, Profiles, or any other Botel Chat feature. Reports involving serious safety concerns may receive priority review.
Botel Chat does not allow bullying behavior. Bullying includes repeated actions intended to: intimidate another person, cause emotional distress, isolate someone from a community, or damage someone's reputation.
Examples include: repeated insults, public humiliation, coordinated attacks, threat campaigns, or sharing embarrassing content to harm someone. Users are encouraged to report bullying behavior rather than engaging with it.
Botel Chat prohibits threats of violence and content that encourages real-world harm. Users must not: threaten physical harm, encourage violence, plan harmful activities, promote attacks against individuals or groups, or use threats to control or intimidate others. If a threat creates a serious safety concern, Botel Chat may take immediate action.
Botel Chat aims to provide a safe communication environment. Users must not: send unwanted sexual messages, share explicit sexual content, pressure users into sexual conversations, request intimate material without consent, or use the platform for sexual exploitation. Respect, consent, and personal boundaries are required in all interactions.
Sharing private or intimate content without permission is prohibited. Users must not: upload private images or videos of another person without consent, threaten to release private content, use personal content for blackmail, or distribute confidential conversations publicly without permission.
Such behavior may result in: content removal, account suspension, or permanent account termination.
Botel Chat maintains strict standards to protect children and prevent exploitation. We prohibit: sexual exploitation of minors, grooming behavior, attempts to contact minors for inappropriate purposes, sharing illegal child-related content, or encouraging minors to hide their age. Any suspected child safety violation is treated as a serious matter.
Grooming refers to attempts to build inappropriate relationships with minors for exploitation or abuse. Users must not: pretend to be younger or older to manipulate others, encourage secrecy with minors, request private information from minors, move inappropriate conversations to hidden channels, or build relationships with exploitative intentions.
When Botel Chat receives a report involving child safety concerns, we may: review available information, restrict involved accounts, remove harmful content, preserve relevant records where legally permitted, and take appropriate action according to applicable laws.
Botel Chat works to reduce fraudulent activities. Users should be careful about: requests for money, suspicious investment opportunities, fake job offers, requests for passwords, or links from unknown accounts.
Users must not use Botel Chat to: operate scams, trick users into sharing information, create fake financial opportunities, or conduct fraudulent transactions.
Users should be able to trust that accounts represent real people. Users must not: pretend to be another person, use someone else's identity, create fake official accounts, or mislead users about their relationship with organizations or individuals. Accounts involved in impersonation may be restricted.
Botel Chat does not allow harmful exposure of private information. Users must not share: home addresses, private phone numbers, government identification documents, private images, or confidential information. Sharing private information to threaten, embarrass, or harm someone is prohibited.
Users must not promote content that encourages serious harm. This includes: dangerous challenges, instructions for harmful activities, encouragement of unsafe behavior, or content that puts others at risk.
Botel Chat does not allow content that encourages self-harm or suicide. Users must not: encourage someone to harm themselves, share methods intended to cause harm, or pressure others toward dangerous actions. If someone appears to be experiencing a crisis, users are encouraged to respond with care.
Users should protect their own accounts and avoid unsafe practices. Users should use secure login methods, avoid sharing account access, and report suspicious activity.
Users must not: attempt unauthorized access, steal accounts, distribute malware, or exploit security weaknesses.
Where there is a serious and immediate safety concern, Botel Chat may take necessary actions to protect users. This may include: restricting accounts, preserving relevant information, cooperating with lawful requests from authorities, or taking urgent protective measures.
Botel Chat provides reporting tools to help users report content, accounts, or behavior that may violate safety standards. Users are encouraged to report: harassment, bullying, threats, fake accounts, impersonation, scams, privacy violations, child safety concerns, illegal content, or security issues.
Users may submit reports through available in-app reporting options or official support channels. A useful report should include: the account/activity reported, the reason for the report, and explaining details. Users should avoid submitting unnecessary private details.
Certain reports may receive priority handling due to their potential seriousness. Priority categories include: child exploitation concerns, immediate threats of violence, credible safety risks, severe harassment, account compromise, or illegal activity.
When a report is received, Botel Chat evaluates the reported content, the account, previous violations, and safety risks, considering severity, intent, and legal requirements.
During a safety review, Botel Chat may review information, limit access to features, remove content, or restrict accounts temporarily. Some reports may be closed if no violation is found.
Botel Chat provides features designed to help users maintain control over their experience: block users, report accounts, control profile visibility, manage friend requests, or remove unwanted connections.
Blocking is designed to restrict communication and visibility between accounts. Users should use blocking tools responsibly.
Botel Chat may investigate accounts involved in suspicious activity, security concerns, or fraud attempts, resulting in feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent removal.
Depending on the situation, Botel Chat may take actions including: Warnings, Feature Restrictions (messaging, posting, discovery), Temporary Suspensions, or Permanent Removal for severe safety infractions.
If an enforcement action is taken, users may request a review by providing account details and an explanation of the situation. We reconsider decisions if new context is identified.
Safety tools must not be misused. Users must not submit fake reports or coordinate false reporting campaigns. False reporting may affect the user's own account standing.
We aim to apply safety standards fairly, but some security detection methods must remain confidential to prevent exploitation.
Botel Chat may cooperate with authorized government agencies or law enforcement where required by law, including responding to court orders and emergency safety requests.
Botel Chat continuously works to improve safety through better reporting systems, improved user controls, security upgrades, and policy reviews.
A safe community depends on users acting responsibly: report harmful behavior, respect other users, protect personal information, and follow platform rules.
When handling safety reports or investigations, we may process limited information necessary to review issues, protect users, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
Botel Chat respects user privacy during safety reviews. Access to information is limited to authorized purposes, and unnecessary data is not collected.
Reports involving child safety are treated with the highest priority. Where legally permitted, Botel Chat may preserve records, restrict accounts, and cooperate with authorized child protection organizations.
Botel Chat may use trusted service providers to support safety operations, security protection, and technical monitoring. Providers must handle info according to safety agreements.
Botel Chat works to maintain a secure environment through reasonable measures designed to protect accounts, systems, and communication features.
Safety is a shared responsibility. A safer platform is created when users and Botel Chat work together to report abuse and follow Community Guidelines.
This Safety & Child Protection Policy should be read together with the Botel Chat Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and Community Guidelines.
We may update this Safety & Child Protection Policy from time to time. The updated version will include a revised "Last Updated" date.
