🌟 Our Philosophy: Botel Chat is built on genuine connection, mutual respect, and fun social gaming. We expect every member to treat others with kindness, decency, and fairness.
1. Be Authentic & Real
Trust is the foundation of genuine friendship:
- Use Your Own Photos: Upload photos and videos that genuinely depict you. Using celebrity photos, AI-generated synthetic identities to deceive, or pictures of other people without their permission is forbidden.
- No Impersonation: Do not pretend to be someone else, represent an organization you don't belong to, or pretend to be Botel Chat staff/moderators.
2. Respect Boundaries & Consent
Every member has the right to decide who they converse with and how much they share:
- Respect "No": If someone rejects a call, does not reply to a message, or removes you as a friend, respect their decision. Repeated unwanted outreach is considered harassment.
- No Explicit Unsolicited Media: Sending unsolicited sexual photos, suggestive voice notes, or indecent imagery is strictly prohibited.
3. Zero Tolerance for Harassment & Hate Speech
Botel Chat is a welcoming haven for people of all backgrounds. We do not tolerate:
- Hate speech attacking race, religion, ethnicity, caste, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Doxxing, threatening physical harm, extortion, blackmail, or encouraging self-harm.
- Cyberbullying, ganging up on voice room speakers, or persistent verbal abuse.
4. Fair Play in Games & Voice Rooms
When participating in Ludo, Dots & Boxes, Carrom, or Voice Party rooms:
- Play with sportsmanship. Do not deliberately exploit connection drops, collude against other players, or utilize unauthorized automated macros.
- Voice room hosts must maintain decorum. Blaring offensive audio or interrupting speakers will lead to microphone revocation and room suspension.
5. Anti-Fraud & Scam Prevention
Protect yourself and others from bad actors:
- Never solicit money, bank transfers, gift cards, or UPI payments on Botel Chat.
- Do not promote unauthorized multi-level marketing (MLM), cryptocurrency schemes, or external commercial sales.
6. Enforcement & Appeals
Violations of these guidelines lead to swift progressive discipline:
- Warning & Content Removal: First-time minor infractions may receive a formal in-app warning and removal of infringing content.
- Temporary Shadowban / Mic Mute: Temporary suspension from discovery feeds or voice rooms.
- Permanent Account & Hardware Ban: Severe violations (harassment, child safety violations, financial scams) result in an immediate irreversible hardware device ban.
